The development of our Chinese branch in Suzhou is progressing. Thanks to the implementation of a new plotter, the team around Managing Director Bin Chen is now able to offer even more services locally. Thanks to these increased local production capabilities, we are also less dependent on global supply chains. The Corona pandemic in 2020, among others, showed just how fragile these can be. Thanks to the site in Suzhou, about 80 kilometers northwest of the commercial center of Shanghai, time-consuming transports and customs formalities are therefore no longer necessary. In addition, all business transactions for our customers are conducted very conveniently in Renminbi.
The increasing in-house production depth also enables us to respond even more flexibly to customer requirements, both in the production of customized rapid prototyping as well as small or large series products. Maximum accuracy of all work is a matter of course for us. This is ensured, for instance, by the CAD-based processing of customer-specific molded parts. The high quality of the products as well as the services that customers expect from us is guaranteed, for example, by the IATF certificate, which HALA Contec has also received in 2021. As a next step, we are currently working on fulfilling the criteria for ISO certification.
